Affordable, Low-Carbon Family Housing

Cross Lane is an affordable housing scheme delivered by R&M Property Group as developer and principal contractor, in partnership with Southway Devco Ltd and Manchester City Council.

The project provides a mix of family houses and apartments for social and affordable rent, brought forward through a delivery-led model focused on certainty, programme control and long-term asset value.

R&M led the scheme from planning and design through to construction and handover, aligning with RP and Local Authority requirements and enabling a clean transfer at completion.

Homes were designed using a fabric-first, low-carbon approach to reduce energy demand, improve affordability for residents and protect long-term value.

Cross Lane highlights R&M’s ability to unlock constrained urban sites and deliver affordable housing through a clear, repeatable partner-led model.
